Last Thursday, the second alpha for Xubuntu 14.04 was released. Codenamed “Trusty Tahr”, Xubuntu 14.04 will be a long-term support release and is scheduled to be released on April 17, 2014. Some of the highlights of Xubuntu 14.04 Alpha 2 include:
- KDE Applications 4.12.1
 - Improvements to the USB Creator tool
 - Mozilla Firefox 25
 - Gwenview plugin installation built-in to the application
 - New auto crash reporting
